| Storage, Themes and Style The reilly cake may be for a special themed occasion eg. Leaving party, wedding anniversary, special birthday, event celebration. The recipient may have some special hobbies or pastimes that could incorporated onto the cake. Another possibility is to have a photograph scanned onto the cake. DO - Keep the cake in a place which is dry, cool and not damp. DON’T – put the cake in a fridge – the atmosphere is damp and could spoil the cake. |  |
| Travel The cake will be encased tightly in a box when you collect it.Every effort is made to ensure your reilly cake arrives in perfect condition. However there is always the unfortunate chance that damage may occur during transportation especially if the cake decoration is very delicate. When deciding on a theme please consider how far the cake is travel to ensure your cake is perfect on arrival!! To ensure the cake does not move around in the car please ensure it is flat and firmly secured. |

Allergies Consider whether any of the guests or recipient has any special dietary requirements. These can be accommodated in the form of gluten free, nut free and dairy free cakes. Please request at the time of booking. Also ensure the temperature in the car is cool and that the cake is not in direct sunlight. Hopefully the above information will give you some assistance when deciding on your cake style but should you require further help then please contact me. |  |
Making your own cake Should you wish we can decorate a cake which you have made.To ensure your cake is cooked to perfection a good tip is to ensure you use a good quality cake tin. Make sure it is greased and lined and if making a fruit cake double lining is recommended. If you are in doubt about the style of cake and decoration you would like, Amanda is happy to advise to ensure the end result is a special as the day. go back to tips . |
